Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
